Standard Company Initiatives: A sustainability initiative is a specific action or project undertaken by an organisation to promote environmental, social, or economic sustainability. Sustainability initiatives encompass a broad range of actions aimed at minimising environmental degradation, reducing carbon footprints, and fostering long-term ecological and social well-being. These initiatives often involve adopting circular economy principles, such as reducing waste, implementing recycling programs, and transitioning to renewable energy sources.

1.Energy Conservation:

Switch to LEDs: Replace traditional lighting with energy-efficient LED bulbs.

Motion Sensors: Install motion-activated light switches to ensure lights are only on when needed.

Power Management: Enable power-saving modes on computers and other devices and encourage employees to turn off equipment when not in use.

Smart Thermostats: Use smart thermostats to optimize heating and cooling and reduce energy consumption.

Renewable Energy: Consider investing in renewable energy sources like solar panels or purchasing renewable energy credits.

Go Paperless: Minimize paper usage by digitizing documents and using electronic communication.

These initiatives are often localized, participatory, and rooted in the unique needs, resources, and values of a particular community.

Navigate to the Initiative Tab; and Press the + symbol to add initiative and populate all the data. You can click and drag the Initiative from Available, In Progress and Completed depending on the status.

  • Scope and Emission type are optional
  • Press Publish, if you would like this include in the Greenfeet Published Initiatives; this is optional. Published allows all Greenfeet customer to review Published Initiatives.
  • Click Browse Published Initiatives, press the three dots and copy to Board, if this Initiative is applicable to your company.

The approval process for adding initiatives to a Browsed Published Initiatives now involves a structured workflow to ensure quality, alignment with goals, and proper authorisation, moving through stages of submission, review, and final approval.

Once approved you will receive a Notification of Approval.
